last year in geology we visited a huge cliff face to learn about depositional environments.
the next the day there was a massive rockfall and the entire cliff collapsed. during lecture that day the professor excitedly calculated the speed and spread of the fall vs. the average running speed of a college student to pinpoint, along with a diagram of where our lab groups were stationed along the cliff face, exactly where each and every one of us would have died.
